Sophie Cosette

Sophie Cosette was rescued from a chain pet store with the help and generosity of the members of the Conure Community. The Conure Community thanks Jennifer Skaptason for her strength of character, tenacity, and courage for rescuing Sophie and standing up for the welfare of birds sold in sub-standard pet stores.

Shortly after Sophie was rescued, she spent a morning with Jennifer's Montessori class. This was Sophie's introduction to young people and she loved all the attention and affection. The kids are used to having Jen's sun conure, TJ, with them in class and had visited with Sophie before she was rescued.

Sophie has found a wonderful new home with Lynn, whose Amazon parrot was stolen from her not long before.
