Pokey is a blue crown conure and mini mcaw. He was born May 5th 1999 in bismarck N.D. hand raised. I am not sure if he is truelly a male but i believe he is. I didnt get Pokey til he was about 8yrs old. I was looking into getting a bird and i happened to be at the bird house (a place of business where they sell an buy all kinds of birds) and this lady wanted to let her daughers bird go because her and her husband didnt want to care for Pokey and Pokey really didnt like them either LOL! When i first saw Pokey he took to me right away the couple wasnt sure Pokey would come to me but he right away in fact he was trying to leave with right away it was hard to leave him that day. Went back the next day to pick him up he was so excited to see me that was a shock didnt expect that from him. Got him home and settled in. I excected him to take some time to get use me and my famaily, he settle right in with no problems. I am so blessed that Pokey and I found each other! He has enriched our lives in so many ways! I love him so much!

pokey was born in december of 1995 i am not sure if pokey is a boy or girl. I got pokey when he was 10yrs old from a lady that was looking for a home for him. He was her daughters bird, she had a baby and couldn't take care of him anymore and she really didn't care for pokey. well it was my luck that pokey ended up with me because i was looking for a parrot or a any bird really i just happen to be in the right place at the right time. Pokey has brought great joy into my life i am so thank for him. I just love him so much.
